David Halter PhD

 

Senior Scientist / Project Leader, Philips Group Innovation



David Halter studied biochemistry at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETH Zürich). In 2002, after obtaining his MSc degree, he moved to the Netherlands to pursue his PhD project “Transport and Translocation of Glucosylceramide” at the department of Membrane Enzymology at Utrecht University.

In 2007 he accepted a position as Research Scientist at Philips Research in Eindhoven. Since then he has worked on various exciting projects in different areas, both for Healthcare and Consumer Lifestyle.

Currently he is Senior Scientist in the Precision and Decentralized Diagnostics department where he leads a project on cancer diagnostics. Next to the research work he is currently the chairman of the works council (OR) of Philips Research Eindhoven.

David Halter participated in the networking day of the PCDI Retreat STEM 2015.
