PCDI ambassadors

PCDI maintains close contacts with scientists at knowledge institutes. This allows PCDI to communicate relevant developments and be informed about specific needs or issues experienced. At many knowledge institutes PCDI is supported by local ambassadors: PhD students/postdocs that are actively working on their personal and career development and would like to propagate the importance of this within their local network. PCDI supports them to initiate discussions when opportunities arise.

In november 2015 PCDI encouraged and supported the PCDI ambassadors to unite themself in a national postdoc platform. PostdocNL was born.

PostdocNL serves as an advocate for postdocs in the Netherlands since there are many postdoc-related issues that are in need of improving,  including the limited career perspectives within academia and the support to transition to a career outside academia.

Nowadays PCDI has a close collaboration with PostdocNL and PNN (Promovendi Netwerk Nederland) and their local networks.
