Daphne Pontier PhD

Daphne Pontier (1981) studied Biomedical Sciences in Leiden (2000). She performed her major research project at the University of California Berkeley and obtained her master's degree (cum laude) in 2006. Daphne then started her PhD research on genome instability Ronald Plasterk’s and Marcel Tijsterman’s lab at the Hubrecht Institute in Utrecht. After her graduation in 2010 she became a postdoc in stem cell research in Joost Gribnau’s lab at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Since June 2011, Daphne is a Medical Scientific Liasion/junior Medical Advisor hepatitis at the innovative pharmaceutical company Janssen. In this position, she is the company's medical expert on hepatitis and holds a bridging function between novel developments and data from (clinical) research and daily clinical practice.
