Joost Rommes PhD

Program manager, NXP Semiconductors

rommes_stem2012_smallJoost Rommes received the M.Sc. degree in computational science, the M.Sc. degree in computer science, and the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Utrecht University, Utrecht, The Netherlands, 2002, 2003, and 2007, respectively.

In 2007 he started as a researcher at NXP Semiconductors, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, and worked on model reduction, specialized eigenvalue methods, and algorithms for problems related to circuit design and simulation. In this function he supervised several MSc and PhD students.

Currently he is a program manager, coordinating the development of design environments for new process technologies.
