Marijn Vlaming PhD

Scientist pharmacokinetics, TNO

Marijn obtained her PhD in the field of pharmacokinetics at the NKI in Amsterdam. She decided to move to a position within R&D in a more applied/translational field and started as a junior scientist/project leader at TNO in Zeist. There she led preclinical pharmacokinetics studies in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies. In 2010 she worked as a visiting scientist/post-doctoral researcher at Philips Research in Eindhoven, where she set up preclinical imaging technologies for drug development.

After one year she returned to TNO as a research scientist, where she is now collaborating with different research groups within TNO, companies, funding organizations, hospitals and academia to develop and implement new technologies to measure pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in preclinical and clinical studies.

Marijn Vlaming participated in the speed date session of the PCDI Postdoc Retreat Life Sciences 2013.
