Sabina Lukovac PhD

Employeneur TMC Group – Innovation Scientist TNO

lukovac_s_smallSabina Lukovac studied Medical Biology at the University of Groningen and obtained her PhD in Medical Sciences entitled “Essential Fatty Acid Deficiency and The Small Intestine” at the University Medical Center Groningen in 2010. From 2010-2012 she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia (USA), where she studied characterization of factors involved in regulating development and (patho)physiology of the intestinal tissue.

Since 2012 she is working as a Scientist and Employeneur for TMC - Group in Utrecht, a Consulting & Engineering company which deploys highly educated professionals in life sciences and technical environments. Her current project is ongoing and at the Department of Microbiology and Systems Biology at TNO in Zeist.

As Innovation Scientist, she focusses on setting up screening models of gut tissue for more applied studies regarding Host - Microbiota interactions
