Petra van der Werf PhD

werf_p_smallPetra van der Werf obtained her master in applied physics from the University of Twente. In 2005, she went to Utrecht University to start a PhD in the group ‘Oceans and Climate’ on the subject of variability of the Mozambique Channel through flow.

Since 2010, she works at Ambient / RO2, where she advices public bodies on environmental data strategy. She is involved in projects about matching the supply and demand of information, integrating different information sources, and the development and use of serious games. Ambient / RO2 is a SME with eight employees. In her job, Petra has worked with national, regional and local governmental organizations.

Petra van der Werf participated in the speeddate session of the PCDI Postdoc Retreat STEM 2013.
