Marloes Hagemans PhD

Strategist, Gupta Strategists

Marloes studied Nutrition and Health in Wageningen and graduated in 2001. She obtained her PhD at Erasmus MC in 2006 for her research on Pompe disease, a rare metabolic disorder. After a few years working as a postdoc scientist on enzyme replacement therapy and orphan medicinal products, she got interested in health economics and took courses at the Institute of Health Policy & Management in Rotterdam.

In order to combine this new perspective with her biomedical background, she traded science for consultancy at Gupta Strategists. Gupta is a niche strategy consulting firm focusing on health care.

Since joining the Gupta team in 2011 Marloes has worked on various strategic projects for insurers, hospitals, elderly care providers and other health care organizations.

Marloes Hagemans participated in the networking day of the PCDI Postdoc Retreat Life Sciences 2015.
