Rik Bisschop PhD

Senior geotechnical specialist, ARCADIS

He is a specialist in soft soil mechanics related to projects with the construction of dikes, hydraulic fills, embankments for roads and housing areas, geotechnical constraints of landfills and plate foundations. Rik Bisschop received his MSc. Degree at the Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering of the TU Delft in 1991. He started his career at the Waterloopkundig Laboratorium (present Deltares) where he was a research engineer studying on dredging related topics, like the behaviour of clay, sand and rock during dredging operations (cutting and jetting).


Cristina Nenu PhD

Born in Bucharest, Romania, studied chemistry and physics and completed a MSc in physics at University of Bucharest. Earned a PhD in catalysis at Utrecht University. Worked several years as a project leader in catalyst characterization at ZECASIN SA, Bucharest where collaborated with large oil companies: Exxon Mobil, Luk Oil, Cassale. In 2002, she started her doctoral studies in collaboration with Total Petrochemicals and joined Shell in 2007. 


Erik de Groote PhD

After completion of his studies of both Physics and Computer Science Erik de Groote started working in the ‘consultancy world’ as he wanted to both focus on technical as well as the social aspect of the job. In few years his specialism grew more towards career advise and employment and for the past 7 years he’s been recruiting and employing technically highly educated candidates with Master, PhD or Post-Doc experience for a big network of companies throughout the Netherlands.



Pieter Stienstra PhD

Experienced independent project, interim and general manager, Stienstra Development Stidé

Pieter Stienstra read geology at VU Amsterdam and Leiden University and obtained his PhD at Utrecht University. Pieter’s careerset off with geological work at Leiden Archeology and organizing post-academic technological education at PATO. After that, he worked in applied geological and environmental sciences at engineering firms and regional governments, more andmore shifting tomanagement. 


Lorenzo Tripodi PhD

Senior Scientist, Micro Systems and Devices Group - Philips Research, Eindhoven

Lorenzo Tripodi received the Laurea degree in electronics engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy in 1999 and the Ph.D. degree in theoretical condensed matter physics from Université J. Fourier, Grenoble, France in 2002. In 2003 he joined Philips Research Eindhoven (The Netherlands) where he is currently Senior Scientist and project leader of the THz Microsystemsproject. He is also coordinator of the European project ULTRA.
